Food Days 247-263

Hi Everyone 🙂

I know I haven’t been posting my food… I’ve been incredibly busy and just haven’t made time for it. Nonetheless, I have been TRACKING on my own. The last week in particular has been really stellar.

After weigh-in last week (and aren’t I due to make another today? yes) I really got my act together, fell in love with running all over again, and am now here happy and better off. 😀

Food has been at the losing-weight level every day. I’ve run several times, and on those days I compensate for the burnt-off calories by eating more but only as many calories as I’ve burnt off. Yay!

I haven’t been anally recording my exchanges… it was causing me too much overwhelm. I really quite prefer to just count calories. THAT BEING SAID, I have learned heaps and heaps from eating balanced according to Jenny Craig and will never eat like I did before, again. My eyes are open now and I will always eat more balanced 😉 I’m just not going to track every little thing because it was driving me crazy.

Teas! Curb Your Cravings and Get Caffeine

Some great tea companies to try out:
Celestial Seasonings

There are SO MANY MORE but as you feel out the samplers you’ll get a taste for what you like. I don’t like Stash’s chai selections very much, I prefer chai from Yoga and Bigelow. I love all teas by Celestial Seasonings. Tazo and Yoga are nearly all good, and usually more STRONG in their flavors. Choice has some really interesting combinations to play with, like orange-peach and vanilla-apple 😀

How I Lose Weight + Food Tips

Here’s the low-down on what I’m doing to lose weight and how it works.

1. Figure out what your “maintain weight” calories are and eat 500 calories LESS than that number every day.
2. Exercise for at least 30 minutes, 5x/week.
3. Drink water! Divide your weight in half and drink that number in ounces of water every day.
(4. Make healthier choices as you go along and get better at doing steps 1-3.)


The salad is:
1 Bowl of Romaine Lettuce and Spinach
2 Tbsp Light Vinaigrette Dressing
1/2 Tomato, sliced
1/4 Cucumber, peeled and sliced
1/4 Cup Garlic Feta Cheese
= around 110-130 calories 😀


Green Tea (and similar Asian teas), English Breakfast Tea and Irish Breakfast Tea need no sweetener if you use 1 Tsp of lemon juice instead (0 calories).

Vanilla chai (and decaf vanilla chai), peppermint tea and bangal spice teas all also need no sweeteners or additives of any kind.
