Exercise Day 269

Today my knees and hips were pretty beat up and I really don’t want an injury so I took it easy…

Yoga: 20 minutes
Stretching/Yoga: 20 minutes

Yay πŸ™‚ The yoga felt amazing. What a respite from running.

I didn’t want to push it too hard because my knees were sore. Still, I went far and kept my time up.

Running: 3.88 miles in 1 hour – uphill most of the way OMG πŸ˜›

I didn’t exercise on Saturday. Today I ran AND walked. Oops?

Running: 4.5 miles
in 1 hour (YESSSSSSS personal best!!)

Walking: 2.5 miles in 1 hour – late night phone conversation, walking and talking

I impress myself, honestly. πŸ˜€ PROGRESS!

Exercise Day 265

Today I did what I would consider a really tough workout, but the numbers don’t really reflect it πŸ˜‰ Sometimes that happens.

Running: 3.5 miles in 50 minutes
Uphill 1/3 of the way, flat 1/3 and downhill 1/3

When analyzed in depth, it was about 800 calories burnt! YES!

Exercise Day 264

Yay! Today was a “slow day,” meaning I worked harder/longer than usual yesterday and so today I took it easy. Did I mention it’s like 25Β°F out? OMG.

Ran: 2.0 miles in 30 minutes.

Solid cardio exercise… definitelty not pushing it, but getting the exercise thing done and avoiding injury/burnout. πŸ™‚

I have FINALLY fallen back into a routine with exercise again and I am just loving it. Oh, yay.

I am in SO in love with running again, and since quitting smoking and dropping even more weight, running is like a BREEZE compared with before. YES.

Ran: 3 miles in 45 minutes [~500 calories]

Jan 25, 2009
Ran: 3.86 miles in 1 hour [average HR 160]

Jan 26, 2009
Ran: 2.7 miles in 50 minutes [easy day]

Jan 27, 2009
Rest Day

Jan 28th, 2009
Ran: 4.3 miles in 1 hour [average HR 165]

YAY!

I need to incorporate some strength training into this. I’m thinking P90X is the way to go…

Walking: 0.3 miles (10 minutes) = ~250 calories burned

Weight-Lifting & Abs: 30+ minutes = ~250 calories burned

TOTAL: 500 calories burned!

Weight Lifting + Abs: About 30 minutes = ~ 240 calories burnt

TOTAL: 500 calories!

Sex: 30 minutes (Moderate) = ~35 calories burnt

TOTAL: ~275 Calories Burnt πŸ˜€
